GrainCo Holdings is a participant in the South African grain industry. The subsidiary companies operate across a broad spectrum of activities within the food processing chain.
GrainCo’s key areas of expertise are:

• Marketing of grain, lucerne and other soft commodities,
• Management of price risk,
• Logistics and transport,

• Processing of agricultural products.
GrainCo was founded in 2000 and became part of the BKB Group in 2006.
BKB, a public company, has been a dominant player in the South African agricultural sector for a century. BKB is dominant within South Africa in the livestock, wool and morhair and retail market areas.
GrainCo has four subsidiaries:
• GrainCo Trading,
• BKB Grain Storage,
• BKB Logistics,
• GritCo.
GrainCo has a national footprint with its head office in Paarl, Western Cape. GrainCo employs approximately 400 people and has an annual turnover of more than R2 billion.
